Your own AI key (BYOK)
Use your OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or other key so replies don't use credits.
On paid plans you can connect your own key under Settings → Your AI key. Replies and drafts then run on your account with the provider and use no message credits — they keep working even when your credits run out.

Saved after a test
We send a tiny test request before saving, so a typo never takes your agents down.
If your key stops working (wrong key, no balance, rate limit), replies switch to our models automatically and use credits, and the page shows what went wrong. Your key is encrypted before it's stored and only used to answer your customers. Smaller background steps — understanding the question, search, summaries — still run on our side and are included in your plan.
